■ NEWS

  • This year we have a new Junior Competition
    For each section there is a public prize.

■ DIVISION OF PERFORMANCE

Piano, Voice, Violin and other Strings, Winds and Ensemble.

■ ELIGIBILITY

The Competition is open to the candidates of all nationalities born in or before 2002.

FINAL ROUND COMPETITION:
Selected applicants will enter the final round of the competition.
*Selected applicants will be contacted by Nishinihon Ongaku Kyokai directly within a couple of days after the audition.

■ TERMS OF PERFORMANCE

Time of Performance:

Piano, Winds, Strings and Ensemble : within 15 mins
Voice : within 15 mins

Pieces to be performed:

Instrumental division -> 1 Free piece
Piano division -> Concerto is not acceptable

Ensemble pieces should be pieces which have originally been written for ensemble. If you have an ensemble with singers, you should be at least with two singers.

*It is possible to play either the same piece of the audition or different one at the final round.

■ Junior competition

The junior competition is open to pianists, violinist, cellists and singers. Singers should be senior high school students.
  • Elementary school students (from the 4th year): less than 7 minutes
  • Junior high school students: less than 10 minutes
  • Senior high school students: less than 15 minutes

■ SCHEDULE OF THE COMPETITION

AUDITION:

Tuesday, July 31st 2018: The recording must have reached us by this date

FINAL ROUND (planning):

Friday, August 3rd 2018, announcement of admission to the final round.

Tuesday, August 7th 2018, final day for submission to the final round.

This year's competition is played without divisions.

Saturday, August 25th from 14:00: Junior Competition
Saturday, August 25th from 15:00: Main Competition
Proclamation of the results on Saturday, August 25th 2018 after the competition.
